This outstanding opportunity allows you to be the Ethics & Compliance business partner for internal collaborators in Spain, Italy, and Greece. You will be the subject matter expert (SME) for Ethics and Compliance, leading the seamless implementation and day-to-day management of the Ethics & Compliance program. Your work will ensure that Baxter employees successfully achieve their business goals while upholding our values, standards, and applicable compliance requirements.#Thisiswhere your legal expertise meets business needs!What you’ll be doing

  • Offer unparalleled Ethics & Compliance guidance to internal business collaborators regarding various healthcare compliance and anti-corruption concerns.
  • Support the implementation of the Ethics & Compliance Governance for Latin America South.
  • Offer clear mentorship on Ethics & Compliance policies and procedures, and identify behavior that contradicts the Company’s policies and relevant regulations.
  • Drive awareness regarding the importance of Ethics & Compliance, identify areas of Ethics & Compliance risk, and undertake corrective plans to resolve potential issues.
  • Develop, deliver, and coordinate training related to the Company’s Ethics & Compliance policies and applicable regulations.
  • Assist in the implementation and oversight of Baxter’s Third-Party Program in Latin America South.
  • Support the implementation of middle management initiatives.
  • Perform special assignments or projects, as needed.
  • Participate in internal investigations regarding potential violations of the Company’s policies or applicable regulations.

What you’ll bring

  • Master’s degree in law from a nationally or internationally recognized institution.
  • 8+ years of experience in private practice, law firm, and/or international company in the area of Ethics and Compliance. The ideal candidate will have proven experience from a mix of private practice and in-house positions in companies engaged in the life-sciences sector.
  • Healthcare experience required. Medical Device and international experience strongly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of regional legal and regulatory frameworks, including anti-corruption and anti-competition laws and regulations affecting the healthcare industry.
  • Unquestioned integrity and ethics in business and personal conduct.
  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills to encourage and influence employees at all levels to embrace Baxter’s Ethics and Compliance initiatives.
  • Proactive in ‘reaching out’ to people in providing advice and maintaining an open communication style.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with individuals from different departments, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in a practical way.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English. Competence in other languages will be viewed as an advantage.
