Start Date: As soon as possible Full Time: 36.25 hours per weekAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Health Manager.The role is that of a functional specialist with a high-level of expertise, exercising a substantial degree of independent professional responsibility and discretion as an expert in the specific discipline of Occupational Health. In order to deliver a coherent approach to Occupational Health for the University, the Occupational Health Manager must lead and promote the structure and development of the occupational health strategy, ensuring compliance responsibilities imposed by health and safety legislation and employment legislation thereby maximising and promoting the health of all employees. The post holder will also manage all the functional specialists involved in service delivery to ensure the service provision is developed and pro-actively responsive to organisational needs.The successful person will be a specialist Nurse with NMC registration and have significant OH experience, ideally previously in a managerial role. You will also have the ability to undertake autonomous decision-making with legal and professional responsibility for the specialist practice and be responsible for planning, implementing and shaping the strategic direction of the occupational health service.The ability to write comprehensive and accurate reports to mangers, employees and senior leaders is essential along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation and to lead and develop training initiatives in line with proactive service delivery.Employees of the University have access to a wide range of including:
