The position 
As a Safety Surveillance Analytics Specialist in signal detection, you will: 

-Innovate and implement analysis strategies for post marketing, clinical trial, digital health and device surveillance. Ensuring our team remains an industry leader in signal detection. 

-Contribute to the development of our analytical tools through providing requirements and writing test cases to ensure that our tools function as according to the analysis strategies. 

-Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and deliver comprehensive training material for clinical trial and PM surveillance. 

-Train in the core PV areas related to signal detection and the tools of Safety Surveillance.  

-Provide expert guidance for the analysis strategies for complex signals and health authority requests. 

-Collaborate with safety data scientists to develop machine learning models for signal detection, signal validation and risk management.

Qualifications 

We realise that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes, then you could be the person we are looking for: 

-Master’s or an equivalent degree in Life Sciences discipline, e.g. Pharmacy, Human biology, MD etc. A PhD and relevant post-doctoral experience would be an advantage. 

-Ideally 5+ years of proven experience in quantitative and qualitative signal detection of clinical trial and post marketing data. 

-Evidence of strong analytical skills evidenced by experience of performing aggregate analysis. 

-Proven track record in training in aggregate signal detection methodologies. 

-Experience with digital health, longitudinal data and advanced signal detection methodologies (machine learning models, advanced statistical methods) would be of benefit. 

-Previous experience of implementing signal detection methodologies and tools is also desirable.

Our department Safety Surveillance Analytics is dedicated to leveraging advanced analytical tools and methodologies to monitor and manage the safety profiles of our development and marketed products. We are a small, diverse group of professionals with a combination of technical skills, high analytical capabilities, and deep pharmacovigilance knowledge. Our mission is to safeguard patient safety by innovating approaches to signal detection and validation, and by supporting surveillance activities from both an analytical and technical perspective.
