As Key Account Manager Industry your objective is to jointly develop the customer’s business (taking care of our company’s strategy and our must win battles) and to proactively seek for new business opportunities within and outside the existing customer portfolio. The scope is a customer portfolio within the Belux Industrial channel.Your job brief

  • To be an entrepreneurial Business Developer:
  • You analyse the market and customer data, exchange on your customer and market insights with sales and marketing whilst mapping them with our ambition and strategy. You translate them into business- and account plans;
  • You dare to jump into ambition and opportunities, and show accountability accordingly;
  • You drive both volume and profit.
  • To be a Key Account Manager:
  • Driving and executing the account strategies to deliver against budget;
  • Building customer relationships, applying a contact matrix framework;
  • Negotiating profitable contracts on standard or customer specific products and ranges, incl. close follow up of raw material markets, and positioning Vandemoortele as the trustful and long-term supplier in our core categories.
  • To be part of the Vandemoortele teams:
  • Express your winning team spirit in a natural way;
  • You will coach/guide a junior KAM Industry;
  • Gain the internal support of especially R&D and factories for your customers;
  • Be part of our Professional sales team, interact with other KAM’s, and collaborate with both Buying and International Channel Marketing Industry to build further our business;
  • Interact frequently with customer service, sales support & finance to guarantee a correct follow up of forecasts, orders, invoices and complaints;
  • Fulfill the admin tasks in a consequent way (forecasting, reporting, team meetings, …), and apply good management of investments and costs;
  • You report to the Commercial Manager Industry & Retail Belux.

Are you the one we’re looking for?About you:

  • You own interpersonal sensitivity and empathy, in your relationships with both customers, colleagues and external relations;
  • You combine ambition and passion for result with integrity;
  • You are eager to learn, to develop and to be developed;
  • A must-be: food lover and passionate about food.

…And your experiences:

  • You hold a Master degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, or related;
  • You have min. 3 years of successful commercial experience within the food/FMCG industry;
  • You own strong analytical skills, combined with a problem solving mindset and a sharp organisation;
  • You are experienced in negotiation skills;
  • Knowledge on the technical site of production or composition of food ingredients is an asset;
  • You have relevant IT skills: mainly Office but also familiar to work with CRM-tools;
  • You can express yourself in Dutch, French & English, both written and orally.
