Languages: Excellent oral and written command of English requiredRole OverviewAs a Senior Application Support Agent, you will play a crucial role in supporting the EUSS Service at the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (SANTE). Your primary responsibility will be to provide administrative assistance for the European database on medical devices (EUDAMED) project, focusing on the coordination of national competent authorities involved in approving clinical studies. EUDAMED aims to improve transparency, public access to information, and coordination among EU Member States regarding medical devices.Key Responsibilities

  • Process Coordination: Contribute to the development and implementation of processes for coordinating national authorities in the assessment of multi-country clinical study applications.
  • Tool Configuration & Support: Assist in setting up and configuring tools for process coordination. Provide support to national competent authorities on procedures and tool usage.
  • Documentation Management: Manage documentation and access rights within the tools. Ensure the correct upload, transmission, archiving, and notification of documents and deadlines to relevant actors.
  • Project Management: Maintain a dashboard tracking the status and deadlines of each application. Continuously collect and update information related to the validation and authorisation process.
  • Meeting Organisation: Organise and follow up on meetings between competent authorities to discuss individual applications and address any challenges in the procedure.
  • Secure Information Exchange: Support national competent authorities in securely exchanging information.
  • EUDAMED Development: Provide input on the development of EUDAMED concerning the coordinated assessment of clinical studies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong aptitude for teamwork with the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Languages: Excellent oral and written command of English.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in project management and/or administration.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with EU institutions (knowledge of health policy is a plus).
  • ITIL Environment: Knowledge or experience in ITIL environments.
