Job Title Technical Department Manager R&D Operations IGT-SJob DescriptionTechnical Department Manager R&D Operations IGT-SJoin Philips as a Technical Department Manager R&D Operations in the Imaging Chain Cluster, where you’ll be responsible for the talent management, way of working and output of the team. You will lead and develop the teams within the allocated budget, on time and with the highest level of quality. The work is based on a product and technology roadmap, covering studies, new product introductions, product Life-cycle management activities and advanced field support for all software development teams within IGT-S. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, influence product development, and collaborate within a dynamic cross-functional team.Your Role:

  • As the Technical Department Manager, you will lead the R&D Operations department of approximately 15 engineers located in the Netherlands and India and define the group composition including required proficiencies, resources and skills.
  • Ensure successful introduction and sustaining of high quality, serviceable, and reliable products.
  • Process owner for Quality System Process(es) where you also define and implement process improvement activities
  • Responsible for Software Development Environment, Configuration Management, IT management and lab certification.
  • Handle relationships (incl. subcontracting) externally with suppliers and partners, and internally with R&D wide departments as well as global IT departments.

You’re the Right Fit If:

  • You have obtained a BSc/MSc/PhD degree in Computer Science or related field, with 5+ years of technical software development and demonstrated ability in People & Project management with strong communication skills.
  • Very experienced with Healthcare Regulatory aspects (FDA 820.x, IEC 62304, IEC60601, ISO13485, ISO14971), effective communication skills and a continuous improvement attitude.
  • You are a transformational leader who is eager to deploy the latest technology trends within the software development landscape; strong understanding of IT infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, security, healthcare products, and experience in Windows & Linux.
