Reporting into the Director of Global Imports, this new and exciting role as Director of Import Products and Solutions will be Responsible for overseeing the development and management of all import and cross-border products and solutions. This includes defining the overall product strategy, identifying market opportunities, and leading the product and solutions development process from ideation to launch.  By developing and managing a portfolio of innovative products and solutions that meet the needs of customers and drive revenue growth, the Head of Import Products & Solutions will have a direct impact on the company’s financial performance.
This is a Hybrid working role with a requirement to attend our Farringdon office, Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre, Midlands Superhub and some International travel, with flexibility required in line with business needs. 
 

About the role

-Conducting market research, by region and target countries, to understand overseas customer needs and preferences, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define import product requirements, and working with operations and technology teams to develop innovative solutions. 
-Setting global import product propositions and strategies, developing import product solutions roadmaps, and monitoring service performance to drive continuous improvement.
-Working closely with sales, marketing, operations, customs and technology teams to ensure that import products and solutions are effectively positioned in our target overseas markets and that customer needs are being met. 
-Identifying new import revenue opportunities, optimizing product and pricing strategies, and continuously improving import service performance to drive increased sales and profitability.
-Leading a multicultural and dynamic team to create new import solutions, build a robust sales pipeline, streamline onboarding processes, and continuously improve operational efficiency to maximize revenue and profits for the international import parcel delivery business. 
-Effectively managing a diverse team of individuals from different cultural backgrounds, leveraging their unique perspectives and experiences to drive innovation and deliver exceptional results. 
 

About You

-To truly excel in this role, you’ll possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
-Strong background in product management, with experience in cross-border logistics and parcel delivery industry is a Must.
-Track record of delivering revenue targets through strategic product management and a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.
-Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
-Prior experience managing a team is preferred.
-Ability to understand highly complex business models and operational, legal and regulatory processes.
-Knowledge of international networks, with experience of overseas business relationships preferred.
 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
