What part will you play?

  • In your new role, you will be responsible for the procurement activities in various projects and regions in the areas of Grid Software, with a purchasing volume in the high double digit million range

  • You will develop global procurement strategies, considering bundling and standardization projects, identify and qualify national and international suppliers, build a portfolio of innovative preferred suppliers, and continuously optimize their performance

  • You will drive sustainability, digitalization, and cybersecurity initiatives with our suppliers and optimize 3rd-party costs in customer offers and projects in close collaboration with the sales team

  • You will define negotiation concepts and implement them using innovative sourcing methods, including independently concluding contracts with domestic and international suppliers

  • Analyzing and interpreting market information and large data sets will also be part of your role to derive well-founded actions

  • You will understand international markets and operate confidently with different cultures and legal frameworks. In this context, you will lead interdisciplinary working groups, involving interface partners from HQ and sales zones

  • As part of the Siemens procurement network, you will use global resources and work across hierarchies

  • You are reliable, pursue your goals consistently within cross-functional teams, and ensure the implementation of agreed results

  • Finally, you will act as a point of contact for clarifications and critical issues and handle active risk management

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You hold a University Degree in Electrical Engineering. Alternatively, you have technical education with relevant/specific experience

  • You have many years of professional experience in procurement of contract-based services or a similar field, and you have built solid market knowledge

  • This is backed by your expertise in legal matters and negotiation skills

  • Additionally, you possess solid understanding of the SAP-MM module and MS Office applications

  • Personally, you stand out due to your results orientation, analytical skills, critical thinking, teamwork abilities, and assertiveness

  • You have strong communication skills with international partners. Proficiency in English rounds off your profile
