An exciting opportunity for an International Student Adviser to join the University of Surrey’s International Advice Team, based in the MySurrey Hive at our picturesque Guildford Campus.Your role will be to provide information, advice and guidance to international students and those working with them, to best support international student success throughout the student journey.We value, empower and support every member of staff to get the best out of your unique talents, so you’ll be rewarded with a generous salary, 32 days holiday PLUS Bank Holidays, pension contribution of 21% and a unique and vibrant working environment.Role & ResponsibilitiesWorking within our Customer Service Award-winning MySurrey Hive, our International Advice Team contributes to providing excellent student support services, aiding the recruitment, retention and progression of international students, and ensuring high levels of student satisfaction.Key responsibilities:

  • Provide support and advice to existing and potential international foundation, Pre-Sessional English, undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University
  • Contribute towards ensuring international students obtain the correct permission to study and comply with the rules attached to their Visa
  • Develop an understanding of Home Office immigration requirements, with detailed knowledge of the Student visa and compliance agenda
  • Play a full part in the provision of events for international students and staff

You will need to be professional, enthusiastic and well-motivated with the ability to work individually and as part of an effective team.
