A great opportunity for a Content Officer to join the University of Surrey’s Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences on a fixed-term basis until November 2025.Working to support the Faculty in developing engaging content that supports student recruitment and builds the reputation of the Faculty, you’ll contribute to creating content for a variety of different audiences and adapting the tone and complexity accordingly.We value, empower and support every member of staff to get the best out of your unique talents, so you’ll be rewarded with a generous salary, 32 days holiday PLUS Bank Holidays, pension contribution of 14.5%, and a unique and vibrant working environment.Role & ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the Faculty Marketing Manager and Faculty External Communications & PR officer, you’ll support the Faculty’s agreed plans/priorities, providing content to help support the department and the wider University in its key strategic goals.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver a high-quality standard of copywriting and content on topics relating to the faculty, in a variety of media formats and to a variety of audiences
  • Manage a number of copywriting projects simultaneously, whilst ensuring projects are delivered toa high quality and in the appropriate timeframes
  • Work with the Faculty Marketing Manager to deliver content that is accurate, relevant and engaging
  • Work with and build excellent working relationships with faculty academics to deliver copywriting projects that pertain to marketing
  • Work closely with Creative Services to proofread and approve design and videos, to promote the faculty
