Job Description Summary:

Mastercard’s Technology Risk Management (TRM) team is looking for a Lead Technical Program Manager to help drive projects within our European Technology Risk Management team to meet customer and regulatory obligations. Focus would be around providing program management support and reporting of the on-going operating effectiveness of Mastercard’s internal control environment, technology risk management processes, external on-site audits, customer reporting and technology compliance projects. Mastercard is committed to balancing innovation while protecting the internal control posture and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Within TRM, the Control Security & Monitoring team assesses internal controls to proactively identify risks, define remediation actions and track remediation efforts and the Stakeholder Assurance team manages the European technology risk processes to provide a regional risk view, support technology European regulatory compliance projects and security & risk customer reporting (including facilitation of external on-site audits). We are looking for someone to join our team and help us effectively manage these goals and identify synergies across the teams. This person will be a technically savvy person who likes to solve issues and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage within the Technology Risk Management team to develop project management activities to ensure effective delivery of projects. This includes tracking via appropriate tools/channels, developing appropriate cadence of stand-ups, and effective reporting across business stakeholders.

  • Support the development of new processes to ensure scalability and sustainability of the control programs

  • Help ensure security risks and gaps as related to or identified by control frameworks (SOC 1, SOC 2, ISAE 3402, ISAE 3000, PCI, ISO, etc.) are effectively communicated to stakeholders and remediated in accordance with timelines identified

  • Establish and track issue remediation internally and externally through to resolution

  • Manage risk processes, including identifying and implementing best practices and ensuring all processes are documented, reviewed, and updated regularly

  • Manage internal control inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders

  • Manage internal reporting (status, risk, control, …) on TRM team activities

About You:

  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the areas of planning and project delivery.

  • Very flexible and with a strong ability to see what needs done, take ownership and act on it without detailed supervision.

  • Experience with agile development and work management tools is a plus

  • Experience with compliance frameworks is a plus

  • Strong leadership, relationship-building and negotiation skills required with a solid track record for developing internal and external relationships.

  • Highly skilled oral and written communications skills and be effective in interpersonal communications across all channels and levels.

  • Ability to influence business partners and other stakeholders to drive intended outcomes.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.

  • Contribute to work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds

  • The ability to push back and challenge decisions

  • Experience with the payment card industry, risk management, control assurance standards (e.g., SOC 1, SOC 2, ISAE 3402, ISAE 3000, ISO 27001, SoX and PCI/DSS) and corporate security is a plus
