Job Summary

We are looking for an employee for a fixed-term employment relationship in the role of Facility Assistant. Facility Assistant will support the daily tasks performed in the operational unit as well as company move to the new facility. The employment relationship is fixed term until the end of April 2025. 

Main duties and responsibilities

The daily versatile tasks of Facility Assistant include for example helping and supporting of monitoring laboratory equipment and operations, as well as repair, maintenance, and installation work. Work tasks include also receiving goods, handling, and cleaning of items, making entries to different systems, inventories, transferring items in the facility and making orders.

As Facility Assistant you work with close co-operation with internal stakeholders e.g. by supporting with own work laboratory and procurement teams´ operations. 

In addition, the Facility Maintenance Technician can work in a cleaning tasks and cage washing area in animal laboratory and understands the animal welfare aspect of the work.

Your work is reliable both in a team and independently. You will succeed if you are self-directed. You will also be able to do physically demanding work and perform your tasks efficiently from start to finish.
 

Job Qualifications

Education and experience: We hope the applicant to have education and work experience in the field (property-, warehouse-, technical maintenance). Work tasks require to be fluent in Finnish and able to communicate in English if necessary. We also require basic IT skills (Microsoft Office) Working hours basically on weekdays from 8.00 to 16.00. Suitable for working daily in animal laboratory environment.
