Training Centre Leader – Vienna, Austria

 

We are expanding our global network to Central Europe and will be opening a new business aviation training centre in Vienna, Austria. The centre will deploy the first Bombardier Global 7500 full-flight simulator (FFS) in Europe, making pilot training on this popular aircraft type more accessible and convenient for operators in the region. 

 

Join our Business Aviation Training division as Training Centre Leader based in Vienna, Austria. 

 

The role we are offering you: 

  • Be accountable for Vienna Training Centre’s operations, cost efficiency and customer experience and any new expansion of the Training Centre 
  • Plan, direct and organize the Training Centre’s activities to ensure the overall goals and objectives are achieved while providing customers with a quality training experience 
  • Seek new methods to improve the training centre’s operations, quality of training products and overall profitability 
  • Establish and maintain a customer oriented business and maintain commitment to client satisfaction whilst performing job duties. Regularly interact with customers to promote the business and to measure the level of customer satisfaction. User customer feedback to constantly develop and improve capabilities and processes 
  • Ensure Training Centre compliance with all applicable regulations (EASA/FAA regulations), customer contracts and internal CAE global policies 
  • Be responsible for Training Centre budget and for annual cost budget process and ensuring targets are approved by the Operations Leader 
  • Plans, schedules, directs and reviews the work of the management team and employees towards agreed goals and objectives, ensuring targets are met 
  • Coordinate courseware development in conjunction with Company guidelines 
  • Be responsible for the staffing of all the necessary personnel for Centre operations and monitor levels to ensure productivity and efficiency by using appropriate metrics; 

 

Our ideal candidate has: 

  • Degree in Aviation Management, Technical or Training field or other related discipline “or equivalent training/experience” 
  • Significant experience in an Aviation Training Centre and five (5+) years (or equivalent substantial experience) in managing and motivating employees in an operational environment 
  • Experience related to managing a small business or corporate cost centre is desired. 
  • Proven track record of managing day to day operations demonstrating cost control and a quality management philosophy. 
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize under pressure 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and interpersonal ability; 
  • Excellent knowledge of business principles including finance, management, aviation and technical training; 
  • Excellent technical knowledge of simulator operations and/or aviation training; 
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff and develop and sustain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders; 

 

Location:

 

  • Vienna, Austria
  • Your role will involve some national and international travel
  • Your role will involve working flexible hours including public holidays/weekends
