Must have the ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and to work a reasonable level of scheduled and unscheduled overtime.Click on the below image to watch a summary about the job.Job SummaryManufacturing, Turnaround Maintenance department, Geleen turnaround (“TA”) is a complex strategic event which has a high impact on plant availability, out of pocket costs, site operations, resources, site priorities and plant performance for the next 6 years. A large team is preparing the TA during 2 years for an olefins TA and 1 year for a polymer TA, enabling a successful execution during the actual TA event. TA can only be successful when its preparation is flawless. The complexity, magnitude and impact of a TA event leaves no room for errors. Within the TA team the general planner has a critical role in contributing to the success of the total TA.What Matters to SABICPurpose of the role in the TA organization

  • Support the Lead Planner in the preparation of the TA in the disciplines of W, Rotating, IPB, E and General Facilities. Directs the administrative process of TOS-sen, engineering, material requests, subcontracting before, during and after the execution of the TA.

Activities

  • Establish and update a TA work list
  • Assigning classification characteristics to job packages (equipment group, cost code, etc.).
  • Preparation of progress reports regarding scoping and work preparation (planning).
  • Integrate maintenance and project activities in the turnaround.
  • Taking care of the multidisciplinary scoping by means of the TOS routing.
  • Outsourcing work packages to the contracted contractors.
  • Testing the work preparation against the EHSS regulations, work methodology and applicable calculation standards. (CDO)
  • Review work decomposition, work description, plan map, estimation, vendor specification, material specification, consumable item specification, tool specification, PPE specification, document composition.
  • Compliance with cost control procedures and cost records.
  • Estimating costs of work requests and scope changes (direct hours).
  • Registering scope changes after scope freeze and during the execution phase.
  • Participation in planner meetings.

Accountabilities

  • Intervene in case of acute danger.
  • Intervene where task-related agreements and regulations are inadequately observed.
  • Co-approve work preparation of execution activities.
  • Co-approve input of preparatory work into selected turnaround systems.
  • Co-approve scope changes (submitted hours for additional / less work).

Responsibilities

  • Provide support towards the timely delivery of qualitatively correctly prepared jobs.
  • Co-deliver accurate, timely and up-to-date progress reports.

Accountability Relations

  • Reports to the Preparation Coordinator (Lead Planner).

What Matters to SABICRequirements for education, experience and personal characteristics

  • VCA VOL certificate.
  • Basic education: MBO.
  • Additional training: work preparation training (e.g. SOM3 WVB).
  • Work experience: at least 7 years in a similar position or at least in the position of Work Planner in the Petro Chemical Industry
  • Competencies (competency set Planner): adaptability, safety awareness, contributing to team success, quality awareness, planning and organization, cooperation, technical/professional knowledge and skills.
  • Language: Dutch (Must), English (supportive) and German (supportive).
