We are looking for a Project Team Leader (PTL) that takes the challenge to take end-to-end ownership for the development of optical illumination solutions in the EUV scanners.Job missionAs TL in the EUV Illumination group you will be leading a multi-disciplinary project team responsible for illumination deliverables in various products and programs. The TL sets the direction and priorities of deliverables, creates and maintains the plans of the functional deliverables and balances between business context, technical excellence and effort with engineering teamsSkillset: Team player, understanding business context, ownership, minimal viable product thinking, long term planning, can do mentality, decision making.Job Description

  • Takes ownership of functional team deliverables and connects with engineering teams PO/TL’s by directing/aligning/receiving work
  • Align impact of changes in deliverables with PO’s/TL’s from engineering teams and x-sectoral teams to secure project deliverables
  • Prepare NXE project leads by aligning, refining and (re)prioritizing the team deliverables to match project & technology roadmaps and integration roadmaps.
  • Ensures creation of bottom-up Team plans, aligned with PL and engineering team leads, with regards to triple constraint, secures the adherence to the processes and with technical input of the team/project architects
  • Enable project deliverables by defining and executing 6Q plans
  • Ensure that dependencies, risks or impediments are managed, solved by the functional teams and engineering teams and or properly escalated to PL and other stakeholders
  • Ensure that team continuously improve/optimize on ASML processes and way of working and drive teams towards a high performing team
  • Support onboarding of team team members, resource allocation, provide input for target-appraisal cycle and coach team members for project deliverables
  • Ensures well-being of the team members
  • Ensures the right competences are in the team
  • Step in MDO and/or PL replacement when needed

EducationMSc or PhD in engineering or physics, preferably with knowledge of optical systems.ExperienceExperience (
5 years) with project management in a high tech multidisciplinary environment related to design and integration of complex systems is needed. A background in mechatronics and/or optics is a pre. Experience with ASML and/or its suppliers is a pre.Expected behavior and skills

Context of the positionWithin ASML, the Sector Development and Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the planning, development, and delivery of integrated solutions that meet business requirements. This responsibility also includes the specification of trade-offs across sectors.The department DE EUV Optical Column is responsible for delivery of the projection, illumination, dose control, and EUV light collection functions for the EUV machines. The department develops technical solutions, means and methods and competences to ensure these deliveries in all the different product phases.The holder of this position is reporting to the BL EUV DE OC Illumination Group Leader.This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
