We need you, your voice, your ideas, and your ambition to make it happen.Purpose of the roleWe are looking for a Junior Financial Planning Analyst for our Geneva office team and someone more experienced for our Paris office.Within our Finance function in Geneva and Paris, we are seeking a Junior Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) (Geneva office) and Contrôleur(se) de gestion (Paris office) to enhance our financial planning and analysis capabilities. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will be a strategic addition to our team, supporting the hyper-growth of Proton by providing critical financial insights and analysis.
You will contribute to driving the financial planning and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial data is available to inform strategic decision-making. The primary focus of this role is to develop and maintain robust financial models, perform variance analysis, and support the preparation of budgets and forecasts. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, possess advanced Excel skills, and have some experience with Pigment.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports, providing insights to senior management, and ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
Beyond the core responsibilities of financial planning and analysis, the FP&A Analyst will contribute to ongoing financial reporting, providing actionable insights to support business objectives and improve financial performance. The role includes identifying opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices, and conducting training sessions for internal teams to ensure a thorough understanding of financial planning tools and techniques.
In summary, the Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) will be a key player in supporting Proton’s financial strategy, ensuring accurate financial planning and analysis, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across various teams within the organization.What you will do

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
• Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
• Leverage Pigment for financial planning, reporting, and data visualization.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (VBA).
• Experience with Pigment or similar financial planning software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills while being adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English.
