We are committed to equal employment opportunities that foster an inclusive environment.At Instituto Grifols S.A., we’re looking for an Immuno-Chemical Control Manager for our Biopharma division, which focuses on researching, developing, and producing therapeutic plasma proteins derived from human plasma fractionation. This role is part of the Quality Control division, specifically within the Immuno-Chemical Control area.The main goal of this position is to organize and oversee the laboratory’s analytical operations, ensuring that all processes are in line with established quality standards and production plans.What your responsibilities will be

  • Oversee daily operations of the immunochemistry laboratory, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and efficient workflow.
  • Supervise and manage laboratory personnel, including HR functions such as scheduling, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer procurement and inventory management of laboratory materials, reagents, and consumables, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for immunochemical assays and bioanalytical testing, including GMP guidelines.
  • Validate the accuracy and precision of analytical results and laboratory procedures through regular quality control and quality assurance measures.
  • Oversee sample management processes, including receipt, handling, processing, and analysis, maintaining rigorous standards for sample integrity and data accuracy.
  • Provide technical expertise and support in immunochemical techniques.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of laboratory equipment, adhering to manufacturer’s specifications and maintenance schedules.
  • Manage the laboratory budget, including personnel costs, consumables, and equipment expenditures, optimizing resource allocation for operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety audits and inspections.

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • You have significant experience managing a laboratory in an industrial setting. Previous experience conducting bioassays is highly valuable.
  • You have demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
  • You have a strong background in quality management within the pharmaceutical industry, including knowledge of pharmacopoeias and GMP regulations.
  • High proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel (advanced level), QUERYs, and Power BI.
  • You have an advanced English level (C1.1 or above).
  • You have strong leadership and team management skills, combined with effective communication abilities.
  • You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sharp attention to detail and a dedication to upholding high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working under the LEAN model will be valued.
