Are you a current Lecturer – Finance & Accounts looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking college?We’re recruiting for a Lecturer-Finance & Accounts to join our team on a variable hours basis up 36 hours per week.The salary scale for this role is £13.29-£23.21 per hour, inclusive of London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience, plus accrued holiday pay of 12.07% per hour, .The Role;Our Finance & Accounts department, are preparing young people and adults across all Finance & Accounts disciplines to enter the workforce.You’ll provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department’s courses. You’ll also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision.Key responsibilities of this role;
- Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work
- Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students
- Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students
- Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply
- Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them in their own development and future progression
- Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students
- Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector
Our ideal Lecturer-Finance & Accounts should have the following qualifications, skills and experience;
- Hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors
- Have recent and relevant experience of teaching in the relevant course
- Ability to deliver excellent teaching, learning and assessment pedagogic practice
- Possess good IT and administrative skills and be able to keep accurate tracking records of learners’ progress, keep an up-to date schemes and records of work
- Possess excellent interpersonal and team development skills and have the ability to contribute to the team and its goals. Be able to work independently and as a member of the team
