At FOSS Analytical, we’re looking for a talented scientist with a passion for developing new data and analytics approaches to join our LEAP innovation team!As a LEAP scientist, you will be in a unique position to define the technology of the future. You will play a crucial role in developing new analytical solutions and providing new insights based on analytical data to enhance food quality and optimize the use of agricultural resources.Innovating customer-driven solutions
You will be at the forefront of our efforts to address the challenges faced by the food and agricultural industries. The essence of the job is to identify and solve our customers’ challenges by developing innovative, sustainable, and value-driven analytical solutions. A key aspect of the job is being hands-on in building prototypes and demonstrating novel technological methodologies and new analytical measures.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with customers, partners, and colleagues across FOSS to understand market trends, customer needs, and industry drivers
  • Translating customer needs into innovative solutions to meet our customers’ current and future needs in the food and agricultural sectors
  • Conducting cutting-edge research to develop new methodologies and technologies for sustainability, safety, and quality
  • Using your communication skills to act internally and externally as a project champion

We expect you to have a master’s degree or PhD in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field. The preferred candidate will offer combined experiences from several fields, such as food chemistry, analytics applications in industry or laboratories, and data processing. While industrial or academic experience working with food analytics is preferred, it is not essential, nor is innovation or entrepreneurial experience.To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for innovation and product development.
