Rare Hematology Sr Medical Affairs Scientist, Specialty Care Specialty Care (SC) Medical Affairs colleagues are experts with a deep knowledge of their therapeutic area and their medicines. Physicians and other health care professionals and stakeholders view them as peers, and SC colleagues as partners. In Specialty Care Medical Affairs, we provide our customers with accurate and clinically relevant information about our medicines that help them make the right treatment decisions through data generation and dissemination and peer-to-peer interactions. We also generate an actionable insights on our medicines and the evolving clinical reality and collaborate with our colleagues to ensure that they are reflected in SC decisions and plans. Pfizer is hiring a Passionate, Talented, Innovative, Charismatic Medical Affair Scientist (MAS) in Medical Affairs Department Italy. The hiring of the Rare Hematology MAS fits the iTALent purpose, providing a growth and development opportunity to lead scientific innovation in our Therapeutic Areas (TA). The Rare Hematology MAS will report to the Italy Specialty Care Medical Lead. Collaboration across functions, creativity, solution-orientation and leadership skills are key criteria for a successful candidate while showing strong ability to prioritize and focus strategies based on specific asset requirements. These strategies will support Pfizer´s vision to be a highly trusted partner that is providing breakthroughs for patients. Why Patients Need You -Will have direct relationships with Italian healthcare professionals and research centers focused on increasing quality of partnerships to share the common final objective: patient`s health improvement -The Rare Hematology MAS is a permanent member of the SC Italy Medical Affairs organization. The Medical Affair Department has the responsibility to maximize the pipeline and in-line portfolio development SC, including new rare disease in hematology -The Rare Hematology MAS will be responsible for Rare Hematology diseases in Italy. Key Experience Offer of this Role -Glocal Member, scientific and clinical support to Global team -Developing local medical strategy -Works independently. Receives instruction primarily on unusual situations. Ability to organize tasks, time and priorities; ability to multi-task -Looks across and outside the organization for better ways of working – receptive/willing to others ways of thinking -Identifies and builds effective relationships with HCP -Displays sensitivity to manage relationships and ability to build collaborative working relationships with colleagues and associates both within and external to the organization Primary Responsibilities -Support for scientific congresses, satellite symposia including attendance and follow-up, promotional materials strategy -Responsibility for medical activities at national level referred to the TA strategy -Organization of consulting processes within the team and the headquarter (Medical and Commercial relevant functions) -Provides scientific and medical data to leading health professionals, also to support decision-making by institutions and decision-makers -Contributes to the selection of research locations in collaboration with clinical operations according to Pfizer SOPs and Policies
