This role is a temporary one and covers maternity leave.Job DescriptionThe MSL will be responsible for executing strategic medical activities regional/area level in alignment with national initiatives and the Global Medical Plan. The MSL will be responsible for being the first point of contact for any medical/scientific aspect or issue related to the assigned products/TA and, working in tight collaboration with the MSLs Manager, the Medical Director, the medical team, and all the relevant SOBI functions (local and HQ) will efficiently manage the appropriate triage for accountabilities in order to satisfy optimally customers needs. The MSL will proactively manage medical scientific stakeholders and create value for patients through medical and scientific stakeholders engagement, medical scientific projects and scientific communications. The MSL will initiate planned medical activities including scientific presentations, discussion of clinical data and programs, presentation of medical value proposition concepts and educational programs. The MSL acts as the point of contact with external experts in clinical trials context for and adequate scientific support during SOBI sponsored trials and to facilitate investigator initiated study (IIS) ideas and requests for support to the local, regional and global medical teams as appropriate. The afore mentioned will require the MSL to identify, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with KOLs and medical scientific experts. The MSL will deliver high quality medical and scientific communication externally as well as internally in line with defined plans and continuously contribute to the accomplishment of Pharmacovigilance requirements and provide support to local clinical research programs. The MSL will provide field feedback as appropriate through dynamic stakeholder engagement and support the local organization in the development of medical tactics and provide input to local account plan if necessary. Further the MSL will execute the stakeholder engagement plans to ensure that SOBI technology is granted access at local level and facilitate the right use of this technology.LocationThis function is typically field base. Typically at least of 70% on and individual’s time may be spent working as field based. This is subject to local needs, and the discretion of the affiliate medical director.Qualifications

  • Work performed according to GxP (GCP, GVP, HCC)
  • Secure prompt communication of AEs to the Pharmacovigilance department at affiliate and HQ level, offering support to manage any necessary follow up
  • Report to management in accordance with SOBI requirements and standards
  • Identify, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with KOLs, scientific experts and other medical scientific stakeholders • Deliver high quality medical and scientific communications in line with defined communication plans
  • Provide scientifically proven answers to medical enquiries following internal SOPs and local legislation.
  • Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans, according to SOBI’s high standards
  • Support Italian Haematology team in developing and execute local/national medical tactics and provide input to local plans if relevant
  • Contribute with scientific/medical input to the preparation of scientific meetings, symposia and other scientific activities/events related to relevant products (internal/external)
  • Provide scientific support to investigators in SOBI sponsored clinical trials • Collects independent scientific projects proposals (as IIS, scientific publications, etc) form HCPs and transmit them to the Medical Director and other possible appropriate internal SOBI responsible(s)
  • Build local credibility personally and on behalf of SOBI
  • Work together the local sales team to support account plans
  • Support the commercial team with hospital meetings when required by clinicians
  • Work with local patient access team to support local access
  • Contribute and support medical scientific aspects in various activities according to the local account plan
  • Support the field teams through medical education training to the commercial team
