Head of HR & Administration department (On-Site)Pearl Abyss, the leading videogames developer and publisher behind the highly acclaimed Black Desert franchise and upcoming titles such as Crimson Desert, DokeV and Plan 8 is seeking a driven and organized Head of HR & Administration department for its European office.As the Head of HR & Administration department you will lead a team responsible for overseeing all HR operations in our European office. You will play a key role in ensuring our efficient HR operations, compliant with local regulations, and be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the office administration. You will report directly to the Head of Office.You will support a young, diverse and dedicated team that is working across multiple communities, platforms and games such as Black Desert and upcoming releases such as Crimson Desert, DokeV and PLAN 8 in a fun, fast paced environment. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to ensure all Pearl Abyss’ current and future titles will achieve EMEA goals.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate business objectives into actionable HR strategies for assigned teams, covering recruitment, performance management, talent development and more.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on people management practices, fostering high-performing teams through coaching and conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate with HQ, regional HR representatives and business leaders to help develop and implement effective policies on HR and daily office operations.
  • Maintain and direct the daily operations of the office, including coordinating with human resources, legal, accounting, IT etc., to ensure smooth functioning of the office.
  • Create and manage office budgets, office supply inventory and vendor relationship activities related to the office.
  • Ensure office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Stay informed of local legal requirements, and industry trends, proposing adjustments as needed to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement office operation policies and procedures, including safety and security procedures.
  • Arrange and manage internal culture events, including the organization activities/training, firm-wide employee engagement events and business trips in coordination with office administrator and related teams.
  • Other duties may be assigned according to ad hoc needs.

RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or above Human Resources or similar field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch laws, regulations and processes related to employment.
  • Strong people skills and ability to work discretely with confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supervising staff, delegating tasks, and providing training and mentorship.
  • Organized and detail-oriented personality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office management software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluency in Korean is a plus.
  • Familiarity with East Asian and American working culture is a plus.
  • Experience or affinity with the gaming industry.
  • Experience with HR Systems (Workable) is preferred.
  • Experience in an international environment is a plus.
