Nottinghamshire County Council’s Policy and Research Team is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual as a Policy and Research Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to support Senior Leaders and Elected Members to make timely, evidenced based decisions in line with the Council’s strategic priorities.Working within the central Strategic Insight Unit, your activities will include:

  • Supporting the development and monitoring of Council strategies and policies, including the Council Plan, Annual Delivery Planning, and their underpinning assurance mechanisms
  • Undertaking bespoke qualitative and quantitative research to build knowledge of local and national policy, and innovation/best practice
  • Supporting public consultations where appropriate, to ensure resident feedback is reflected in the Council’s overarching objectives
  • Building positive working relationships with colleagues across Departments, as well as with our partner organisations
  • Informing opportunities for transformation and departmental change, which results in improved service delivery and efficiency.

We are looking for a proactive professional with a good understanding of political structures.
