DESCRIPTIONAre you interested in being part of a high visibility, strategic team that delivers global solutions at the intersection of data center infrastructure and energy?The AWS EMEA Energy & Water org is looking for a results-orientated individual to join their Energy Efficiency & Optimization team.As an Energy Business Analyst, you will use a strong analytical skillset to analyze energy and water data, discover and solve energy efficiency & optimization business problems, and build processes, mechanisms, and tools to deliver results and improve the customer’s experience.
You will enable effective decision making by collaborating with internal orgs, retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.** This position can be based in Madrid, Dublin, or London.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain – and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. – Deliver data management best practices and methodologies for standardization of our power, energy, & water datasets
– Develop and collaborate with data, analytics, and business teams to deliver relevant and scalable tools, analytics and process improvements for the Power, Energy, & Water teams
– Deliver technical analyses and business cases for power, energy, & water solutions, that enable optimization, compliance, and high velocity decision making that align with Amazon’s global sustainability goalsAbout the team

– 1-2yrs experience in two or more of: data analytics, SQL, data engineering, analytics programming language, data visualization, energy efficiencyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Masters Degree in: management, energy, business/data analytics, statistics
– Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL, programming language
– Intermediate knowledge of data visualization: Tableau, Power BI
– Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills
– Ability to deal with ambiguity and work independently with little supervision
– Solid organizational skills, including prioritization and time management
– Ability to dive deep and maintain incredible attention to detail
