36 hours per week, 52 hours per year
£32,732 – £39,096 per annumWe have an exciting opportunity to join our Agriculture, Countryside and Environment team, to course-lead, plan and deliver across our land based provision, but primarily on our Land and Wildlife Technical qualifications. The technical qualifications offer students wishing to enter the countryside and environment sector, a dynamic opportunity to study the theoretical components of the industry, whilst developing their practical skills working with industry partners and on our vast, diverse estate.We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced individual to deliver across our Land-based provision, but in particular, we are looking for an individual with experience of working in countryside and urban conservation, land management and general estates work, with a confidence in teaching subjects such as wetland management, estate maintenance and countryside interpretation.Applicants should have a degree, or higher, in a relevant discipline as well as professional experience in a relevant field. Ideally applicants should be a qualified teacher or, if not, have the commitment to obtain an appropriate qualification.You will be able to deliver high quality planned sessions to students which are active and engaging, and you will support student progress to ensure they reach their full potential.
In addition, you are passionate about planning and implementing strategies for the ongoing successful delivery of an effective, high-quality curriculum and will be able to work closely with departmental colleagues and the wider college team to ensure that the requirements of the qualifications outlined in the specifications are met.Please click to view the Job Description and Person SpecificationClosing date: Thursday 5th September 2024 at MidnightAs a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education.
