You will work with specified global accounts to build relationships with the most senior commercial (medical, access) clients to help drive client’s strategic priorities and enable them to achieve their business outcome. You will proactively help shape, define large scale projects which meet the client’s strategic issues around prioritised client assets. These solutions will be drawn from across the breadth of IQVIA’s capabilities and stitched together by the business partner to meet the clients needs. Will typically work at specific client HQ sites and meet client both face to face and remotely. Will have responsibility for the commercial business with IQVIA globally. Performance rewards will be based on achievement of the financial targets associated the specified global client.Role OverviewAs a Client Partner you will support on specific accounts with a focus on the selected client products / assets or own selected products / assets from the point of view of building relationships with global stakeholders such as the brand team. The focus will be on the crafting of solutions including (but not limited to) consulting, analytic services, real world evidence and elements of technology such as performance management and insights.This role will operate across the client organization, particularly with senior global stakeholders to define and execute our priorities to move the client business forward, providing the conduit between the client and the rest of IQVIA.This role forms one of the key client roles and should closely partner with the internal team, including: Global Account Director (GAD) & any regional KAMs, the R&D Managing Director, the Technology Client Partner and the Real-World Client Partner or account director to drive the account forward in accordance with both short-term priorities and long-term vision.Commercial Solutions customers are diverse and include Therapy area leaders, Regional Leaders, Commercial Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Brand, Market Access, Business Analytics, Contracting, etc. Furthermore, the interface and connection between Commercial customers and those in Clinical Development and Real World are important.Responsibilities

  • Drive overall business growth globally with a focus on increasing revenue, and profitability into the assigned global account and assigned target assets.
  • Define specific account business development strategy in line with client’s need and business growth priorities.
  • Support the development of the Commercial & Medical Affairs account asset strategy with input from the broader account aligned team and orchestrate the operational execution including selection and planning around assets.
  • Align the account asset strategy with RDS & RWE to ensure a joined up ‘Molecule to Market’ engagement.
  • Build long term relationships with asset and brand leaders within the client to ensure long term revenue growth for Commercial (inc. Analytics Solutions, Consulting, RWE & Appropriate Technology).
  • Influence the client’s strategy and position IQVIA through thought leadership and innovation aligned to client strategic asset priorities. Leverage senior IQVIA resources and subject matter experts as needed in building preferred supplier relationships.
  • Proactively engage client asset and brand teams by anticipating client needs and leveraging the IQVIA Commercial expertise to develop both short- and long-term cross functional solutions.
  • Lead the Commercial go to market community for headquarters or global buying centers in areas such as Commercial Consulting, Analytics Solutions, RWE-C, Advanced Analytics etc.

Skills & ExperienceThe successful candidate will have a track record of success across the majority of the following competencies:

  • Location: preferably in Copenhagen or Paris. Frankfurt and Amsterdam are alternative locations.
  • Ability to travel and engage with Senior Executives at client site.
  • 12-15 yrs in professional service with a deep understanding of business strategy and processes of the larger pharmaceutical companies. As well as pharmaceutical industry experience in commercial-related functions.
  • Strong collaborative mindset with persuasion skills.
  • Intellectually-curious with scientific acumen. Preferably trained in biological science field.
  • Good team player and natural influencer, builds relationships easily.
  • Excellent consultative selling skills and ability to understand client needs and pull together cross functional teams to build a compelling solution.
  • Expertise in solution development, creative in story-telling and generating big ideas.
  • Experience in selling and negotiating large-scale cross-functional solutions.
  • Ability to navigate and operate well within a complex matrix environment.
