Job description

You will be working with some of the best investment professionals in the world as part of the COO’s team in London. Enhancing the equity research process through the development and implementation of data analysis, automation and reporting tools.Responsibilities:

  • Drive Tech Innovation: Identify and execute technical innovations in investment research by collaborating on large-scale projects with engineering teams.
  • Develop Critical Infrastructure: Use Python to build and deploy reports and dashboards for analyzing fundamental and market data.
  • Provide Insights and Reports: Deliver ad-hoc and regular reports on business performance and PnL to support investor decisions.
  • Enhance Excel Models: Collaborate with investors to optimize Excel models, including creating custom functions.
  • Improve Data Integration: Identify and integrate new datasets to enhance the quality and availability of fundamental and market data.
  • Leverage Internal Tools: Advise investors on using internal tools and risk models, and collaborate with teams to enhance research processes.

Required Skills:

  • Very strong skills with excel, especially for data & analytics use
  • High level of Python skills
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and communication skills, as well as exposure to dealing with front office trading and research teams
  • An understanding or deep curiosity around fundamental equity analysis, public markets investing, equity valuation and statistics.
  • Ability to credibly communicate technical and non-technical concepts
  • Front office facing data analysis & equity research backgrounds would be the preference
  • Strong academic background would also be beneficial
