Within this context Procurement is actively involved in defining and executing sourcing strategies and in selecting strategic partners to execute activities from network construction over network termination until service activation at customer premises. The roll-out of a Fibre network in Belgium is one of the key strategic projects at Proximus and its success is heavily dependent from the performance of our external partners. This in combination with the current market situation make it a challenge to secure capacity and control the TCO of the project. Within this context Proximus Group Procurement is looking to reinforce the Fixed Access Network Fiber Team.In our Procurement organization, you can use your talents to the full. The dynamic environment in which you work offers a variety of tasks interacting with all levels the organization and supplier eco system and is ideal for “can do” profiles.Role & Responsibilities

  • You contribute to and implement the procurement strategy for the Civil Works and Digging & Paving category in close collaboration with the Network Engineering & Customer Operations teams.
  • You handle the procurement project management to execute current contracts within the domain including the transition to new collaboration models with our external partners.
  • You take the lead in the procurement process and the cross functional sourcing team (procurement, technical, finance and legal) and negotiate with suppliers.
  • You act as subject matter expert and single point of contact towards the different business stakeholders.
  • You interact and align with your procurement colleagues also working in the Copper and Fibre domain.
  • You are responsible for the end-to-end contract management.
  • You scan the market to keep abreast of technological and market changes, which can also result in opportunities to reduce TCO and implement best practice.
  • You control the claim management (escalation instance) in case of quality, logistic and quantity problems.
  • You create master frame agreements / single contracts with the main suppliers in cross functional teams.
  • You align with stakeholders (Internal business, Finance, Security and Sustainability responsibles, …) to prepare and submit approval files that allows to get PLS/BoD validation on spend and vendors selection.
  • You oversee the performance of the current partnerships and ensure that regular business reviews are organized and participate actively to it
  • You ensure the compliancy with purchasing processes, contracts, and internal procedures and working methods.
  • You stay up to date with technological market innovations, evolution and new trends and related vendors landscape.

Your Profile

  • You have a University Degree and minimum 5-10 years relevant procurement experience.
  • Languages: Dutch, French, English both spoken and written
  • Office applications (esp. Excel, Workd, Powerpoint, …) do not have any secrets for you.
  • Team player with certain degree of autonomy and with experience in leading cross functional project teams.
  • Creative pragmatic thinker that can implement with focus on results and value.
  • Strong emotional intelligence
  • Strong analytical and synthetical capabilities and experience in leading complex procurement projects.
  • Experience in contractual negotiations and its legal implications.
  • Technical interest in how the network is built.
  • Communication (listen and respond), Influencing, conflict management skills
