Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant – ChorltonTeaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Chorlton. This full-time position is set to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to be made permanent based on performance. The role offers a competitive weekly pay ranging from £419.25 to £500.Role Overview:As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support the Maths department in delivering high-quality education to students across various year groups. Your primary role will involve working closely with teachers to enhance the learning experience for students, particularly those who require additional support to grasp key mathematical concepts.Key Responsibilities:Classroom Assistance: Support the Maths teachers during lessons by helping to prepare resources, assisting with classroom management, and providing targeted support to students who may be struggling with the material.One-on-One and Group Support: Work with individual students or small groups to provide additional instruction and clarification on topics covered in class. This might include helping students with homework, preparing them for exams, or reinforcing challenging concepts.Intervention Programs: Participate in the delivery of intervention sessions aimed at improving students’ performance in Maths. These sessions are designed to help students build confidence in their mathematical abilities and achieve their academic targets.Student Mentoring: Build positive relationships with students, offering guidance and support not only in their academic work but also in their overall school experience. You may also work with students who need extra encouragement and motivation to engage fully with their studies.Resource Development: Assist in the creation and organization of teaching materials, such as worksheets, presentations, and practice problems. This ensures that lessons are well-structured and that students have the tools they need to succeed.Administrative Support: Help with marking student work, recording progress, and maintaining accurate records of student achievements. This allows teachers to focus more on lesson planning and delivery.Extracurricular Involvement: Engage with the school’s extracurricular activities, particularly those related to Maths, such as clubs, competitions, or enrichment activities.
