Testing & Commissioning Engineer

Prysmian Group is looking for a Testing & Commissioning Engineer in the Land & Jointing Installation department of the Business Unit Transmission, based in Milano.
The Testing & Commissioning Engineer reports to the Manager of the Land & Jointing Installation function and will be responsible of technical tasks such as: writing method statement, providing support to internal and external clients, being the technical expert for all what concerns the Testing and Commissioning activities of HV cables.
The Testing & Commissioning Engineer will:
- Engineer electrical tests to identify the functionalities of HV submarine cables
- Ensure Technical Support & System walk-downs as well as installation verification on-site
- Manage the test equipment maintenance and functionality
- Conduct equipment checks and system tests in the field to ensure correct operation
- Execute HV test onsite
- Review test results and prepare test reports to confirm compliance with technical specifications
- give inputs during tender phase to the proposal engineers and to the other functions o regarding testing and commissioning issues
Who are we looking for?
Key requirements
- A master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or similar Degrees.
- Preferably previous work experience on electrical testing and commissioning activities of 2-4 years within onshore and offshore environment
- English fluent
- Availability to travel
- Excellent relationship and team working abilities
- Problem solving, target oriented, capable to define and set priorities.
- Very good communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to continuous change
- Eager to learn
- Previous experience of client relationship will be a plus
- Knowledge and familiarity with all basic and common software (Office suite and Autocad 2D)
