Offer DescriptionWe offer a junior postdoctoral position in newly formed CENTERA research unit (Center for Terahertz Research and Applications) of the CEZAMAT Center of Advanced Materials and Technologies, Warsaw University of Technology.The successfull applicant will join WorkGroup 1 of the CENTERA Unit (led by prof. Wojciech Knap, also the Project Leader). The objective of this workgroup is to explore new solid state phenomena that can lead to detection, modulation, amplification or generation of THz radiation, as well as phenomena for which the use of THz radiation is the key issue in view of getting groundbreaking progress in science and applications.Key responsibilites at the position include:1. Development of CVD/MOCVD growth technologies of 2D materials, in particular graphene on SiC2. Synthesis of 2D samples for applied and basic research3. Characterization of synthesized samples using Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, photoluminescence (including low-temperature measurements), atomic force microscopy4. Assistance in 2D optoelectronic device production5.
