Whilst the role is advertised as full-time, we can offer flexible working arrangements for this role, such as hybrid working, adjusted working hours, and other alternative working patterns. 

We are currently looking for a Dispatcher Intern who will join our team based in Vado Ligure and will be hired to work on shifts.

Key responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all operations are executed in accordance to the priorities set by the Shift Manager, to report any problem in operations and to implement the agreed changes to solve the problems;
  • To ensure the optimum utilization of all equipment;
  • To ensure smooth and speedy movement of containers to and/or from rail siding and external road traffic vehicles transfer area;
  • To update the system with equipment identification on a continual basis;
  • To monitors the dispatch queues to identify potential clashes and delays in the yard;
  • To manually dispatch work instructions that are not in an automatic dispatch queue;
  • Responsible to elaborate reports requested by the management;

To be successful in this role you should have/be ideally:

  • High school diploma and a college degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or related discipline;
  • Knowledge or interest for logistics, yard planning/lay-out and container terminal operations;
  • Proactive approach to improve systems and procedures that will lead to operational efficiency;
  • High level of planning and organizational skills all mixed up with flexibility;
  • Able to work in a team
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills in Italian and English 

Location: The position is placed in Italy, Vado Ligure. No relocation/VISA support offered for this role.

Work Contract: This role is linked with a 6-month internship, on a full time basis.
