With around 9,000 employees, AGRANA is the global leader in fruit preparations and also a major producer of fruit juice concentrates in Europe as well as being a key manufacturer of customised starch products and organic ethanol in its Starch segment. AGRANA is also one of today’s leading sugar companies in Central and Eastern Europe.

We are currently looking for a dedicated person who wants to join our Corporate Purchasing, Logistics & Supply Chain team in Vienna (AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG) in the following position:

Group Strategic Buyer Chemicals (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:

• Development, implementation and ongoing optimization of the “Chemicals” category strategy for the AGRANA Group, including the collection of key performance indicators, market research, identification of optimization opportunities and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluation and design of the optimal procurement processes and sourcing events and ensuring their implementation.
• Support of projects and strategic initiatives within the AGRANA Group.
• Further development of demand management (e.g. demand specification, volume) based on historical and future-oriented quantity information.
• Preparation of regular reports on performance and the development of the category.
• Supplier management and communication: First point of contact for suppliers as well as ongoing monitoring and improvement of supplier performance.

Your profile:

• University Degree or comparable education in a technical, natural science or economics subject
• At least 5 years of professional experience in (strategic) purchasing; especially in the purchasing of chemicals
• Strong analytical skills, a solution-oriented way of working and a high level of goal and result orientation
• Communicative and cooperative personality with a “can-do” attitude
• Comprehensive knowledge of MS Excel & SAP R3/MM
• Fluency in English and German (business fluent)
