We are seeking several new system engineering colleagues to strengthen our team. As a Systems Engineer at Terma, you will play a critical role in supporting one of the following projects, based on your preference, experience, and demand:

  • Military intelligence software platform for the Danish Defense
  • Air defense system for the Danish Defense
  • Artificial intelligence-enabled intelligence exploitation for NATO
  • Systems for critical infrastructure protection

In this role, you will maintain a technical overview to ensure the fulfillment of our customers’ needs. You will work with the entire value chain, from understanding customer needs to integrating solutions at the customer site. Over time, you will function as a domain knowledge expert.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Systems Engineer, you will be involved in various stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring that our high-tech solutions meet customer requirements and are delivered with the highest quality. You will play a pivotal role in bridging customer needs with technical solutions, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring the functionality and performance of our systems. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding customer situations and needs through written and verbal communication.
  • Transforming customer insights into viable technical solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Collaborating with software developers and test engineers to verify and validate complete solutions.
  • Participating in test activities necessary to ensure system and project delivery, including tests at customer sites in Denmark or NATO countries.
  • Engaging in team alignment events, including planning, refinement, retrospectives, and review/demos.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices with fellow systems engineers in the Command & Control organization.

QualificationsWe are looking to hire different profiles, both junior and senior, and are open to various relevant educational backgrounds and experiences. Common for all candidates is the need for competencies within the broad area of system engineering. We are also looking for candidates with limited experience but with a lot of drive and motivation to learn and develop in this field. Key foundational competencies include:

  • A structured, analytic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work on different layers of abstraction.
  • Strong communication skills with varying levels of technical detail.
  • Ability to decompose complex problems and systems into smaller segments.

Education within engineering or natural science, e.g., physics or mathematics.

  • An education within engineering or natural science, e.g. physics or mathematics
  • Experience with system development (preferably systems engineering).
  • Experience with project management (with a technical background).
  • Experience developing systems in close cooperation with software development and producing system specifications.
