Job DescriptionThe increasing complexity of the animal health industry demands a shift in our market approach to ensure that our company is seen as innovative in the way we generate mutual value with our key partners. Nordic Companion Animal Business Unit Director is responsible for articulating and implementing a new go-to-market strategy and an enhanced commercial and value proposition in the Companion Animal Business.As our Business Unit Director for Companion Animals (CABU) in the Nordics, you will be responsible for growing the business in 4 countries: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. You will be an instrumental part of the Nordic Animal Health Leadership team and will report directly to Nordic Managing Director, Animal Health.The role of Business Unit Director for Companion Animals (CABU) in the Nordics includes the following aspects:Achieving or exceeding agreed CABU Financial, Strategic, Operational and Human Resources PrioritiesBuilding a High Performing Team focusing on Team Development & Talent IdentificationTargets #1 position in the Companion Animal Market by developing and ensuring successful execution of short and long-term strategies, commercial plans, and financial & budgets maximization.Ensure Customer Centricity, leading the organization to think and act as a customer, fully understand the evolving customer stakeholder landscape and needs and delivering differentiated value that positively impacts the customer.Pioneer Science & Technology through Innovation Mindset as a key pillar to differentiate our company and lead the Companion Animal Market.Partner with global and regional species leadership in a matrix organizational structure as well as establishing and maintaining regular communications with R&D, Manufacturing, Legal/Compliance & Regulatory, GBO, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR on multiple activities to reach financial and non-financial objectives.Please note that in this role, you can be based in any of the Nordic markets. In addition, the role requires more than 50% time of travelling.Responsibilities include:PEOPLELeading, guiding and motivating the Companion Animal commercial team, ensuring diversity & inclusion and a one-team culture.Develop Key Account Management capabilities and cross functional collaboration.Foster healthy & fluent communications within the team and with other areasFINANCIAL PERFORMANCEAccountable for achieving/exceeding Companion Animal Business Unit Financial Targets through an efficient and comprehensive P&L management.Leads the preparation of CABU operating budgets, sales and profit forecasts for Unit operations that are consistent with the short and long-term strategic business objectives of the Cluster & Region.Prepares and executes the strategic planning of the company to ensure a sustainable accelerated growth of the business within the current and future market dynamics, enhancing a successful strategy within the foreseen sector megatrends.Accelerate growth by diversifying business sources and prioritizing resources on core opportunities.CUSTOMER AND MARKETAchieving or exceeding financial targets for our “must win” Companion Animal products across Nordics.Establishing and maintaining regular contacts with key customers, distributors, key opinion leaders and all other relevant stakeholders across the market, promoting effective communications and inspiring customer loyalty.In alignment with Animal Health Nordic Managing Director and LT, strengthen partnerships with policy makers to ensure key policies & regulations for Animal Health market contributing to One Health and ESG organizational efforts.Evolve full Companion animals’ organization towards digital adoption: enabling digital & data analytic capabilities to drive business performance and implementing omnichannel customer engagement plans to match current and future customer needs.Execute value-creating business development projects with traditional and non-traditional stakeholders.Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceDegree in Health Sciences/Veterinary Science or Business preferred, ideally with postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA)Min. 5 years in senior line leadership position with substantial experience of working in a highly-matrix network and ideally in a role with significant P&L responsibility.Preferred: A deep understanding of the animal health industry, market trends, and business environmentPreferred: significant Marketing & Commercial experience across Nordic markets within Life Science (Animal or Human Health), Animal Nutrition or FMCGDemonstrated launch excellence capability which includes proven track record in strategizing and implementing new product launches.Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and experience of managing a team.A proven track record of inspirational and transformational Leadership building and leading high performing teams from different country and business backgrounds using coaching and listening skills.Proven ability to identify and develop people within the team and wider organization.The ability to influence and manage in a matrix organization.Unquestionable ethics and integrity and track-record in adherence to Company compliance policies and proceduresFluency in EnglishCurrent Employees applyCurrent Contingent Workers applySearch Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully
