DESCRIPTION

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

We are looking for a Solutions Architecture Manager to join our thriving technical community and growing business in Alps (AT, CH): Location of the position is in Vienna.

AWS Solutions Architects partner with enterprise customers across diverse industries to design and build some of the most scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions.

We are looking for an innovative, experienced, and motivated customer-facing leader who understands technology and its value for our customers and can invent on their behalf.

You will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well as effective in shaping the customer and solutions-focused skills of your team. We are looking for leaders who love learning and helping colleagues and customers embrace and adopt new technology.

Key job responsibilities

• Invent and architect solutions on AWS that deliver value. Ensure that these solutions are built resilient and secure, and deployed successful into production (with your team)
• Hire, onboard, and coach Solutions Architects.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, build deep relationships with decision-makers within customer.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge. Speak at conferences, write blog posts and whitepapers.
• Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Has experience leading complex (cloud) transformation projects, acting as CTO, Head of Technology, Lead Architect, or similar.
• Is knowledgeable in Software Development and DevSecOps
• Knows common architectural patterns and design principles and can explain them and apply them.
• Has been leading teams of architects, engineers, or developers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Expertise in Data Strategy and Generative AI
• Industry expertise in Manufacturing
