Director of Children and Youth Ministry

Hours: Part-time (up to 20 hours; open to discussion with the staff members)

Hourly Wage: £14.50

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in ministry to children and/or youth.
• First degree in theological or ministerial training preferrable, although not an absolute requirement. 
• Good organizational, teaching, administration and basic computer/technology skills.
• An understanding of child and adolescent development and skill level, especially mindful of a bicultural (British Chinese) context.
• Fluency in English required. Preferably, also in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese). 

Job Description:

• To lead the ministry of the church towards the younger generation (from toddlers to secondary school).
• To ensure the smooth running of lessons and activities of Sunday School and youth ministry.
• To oversee the teaching content and syllabi. 
• To recruit, organise and train teachers and other volunteers in the ministry. 
• Participate in periodic review and long-term goal setting. 
• To be accountable to the Senior Pastor and/or Church Committee.
