With $6.9 billion in revenue, a strong customer base and global reach spanning nearly 70 countries, we are uniquely positioned to deliver greater value to our customers and create new opportunities for our people.We are now looking for a colleague to join our team in Milan, Italy as a Technical Sales Engineer Thermal Management.Position SummaryThe focus of this role is to provide comprehensive technical support for Thermal Management, partnering with both clients, consultants and with the Sales team. You will assist Sales with pre-sales support, helping to prepare proposals, quotes, tenders and develop strategic business relationship in the country. Additionally, you will help develop customized Thermal Management units to meet unique customer needs when standard products don’t fit, making sure every solution is perfectly tailored to the client’s requirements.What you’ll do? As a key team player, your responsibilities include:

  • Develop strategic business relationship while working on projects, attending events, delivering training/webinar and proactively engaging with clients;
  • Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specifications;
  • Provide pre-sales technical support of product specifications;
  • Standard product selection based on customer requirements;
  • Design new Thermal Management solutions where standard products do not fit;
  • Define feasibility and costs of solutions/products;
  • Integration and coordination with the internal departments and/or external suppliers;
  • Request SFAs to Engineering linked to thermal management products and clients that you’ll serve;
  • Provide Sales with pre-sales technical support when building proposals, quotes and tenders;
  • Provide Sales with pre-sales technical support when attending technical meeting, aiming to become a reference point for both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Create and review application based documentation(drawings, specifications, electrical layout, presentations) enabling AE colleagues and Sales to secure the business;
  • Provide product and application based training to the Sales community to strengthen the know-how across Country Italy;
  • Support WT activities and factory visits when needed;
  • Support that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC;
  • Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itself.

What makes you successful? Bring your passion and expertise with:

  • School Background: engineering background or equivalent education with proven field experience;
  • 6+ years of professional experience within the DataCenter industry or similar;
  • Excellent know-how of Data Center High Density trends, applications and related thermal management complexities;
  • Excellent know-how of Uptime Insititute Tier levels and related Thermal Management infrastructure design;
  • Language skills: fluent English written and verbal required;
  • Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientation;
  • High focus on customer needs;
  • Experience in quoting/proposing/ managing projects.
