Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?Do you have experience or a strong interest in teaching students with learning disabilities?We are looking for a dedicated Post 16 Class Teacher to join our team at a NAS-accredited, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ special educational needs school. Our school caters to academically able autistic students with associated difficulties, including ADHD and complex needs. Our mission is to create a learning culture that enables the best possible outcomes for our pupils.Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver BTEC Vocational Study units tailored to pupils’ interests.
• Lead local travel training trips to boost pupils’ confidence and independence.
• Establish work experience opportunities with local businesses.
• Assess and mark assignments, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Plan and deliver lessons based on individual educational needs and abilities.
• Monitor and report on pupils’ progress, attainment, and behavior.
• Maintain discipline and safeguard pupils’ health and safety.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and carers to support pupils’ best interests.
• Participate in professional development and training courses.

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS or QTLS. *Applicants with relevant experience will be considered*
• Preferably has experience teaching in an SEN setting.
• Knowledgeable about the National Curriculum and its application in an SEN context.
• Positive, proactive, and patient with a can-do attitude.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Skilled at building effective relationships with pupils and staff.
