If so, Master Builders Solutions is looking for you! We are seeking a skilled Global Customs and Trade Control Classification Specialist to join our team. While we prefer candidates based in Treviso, Italy, or Madrid, Spain, we welcome applications from any of our global locations. Proficiency in English is essential.What You’ll Do:

• Product Classification: Accurately determine the Harmonized System Code (HS Code, 6-digits) for our product portfolio and identify the relevant EZT and TARIC codes in Europe, TARES Switzerland, and UK Global Tariff.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure customs and trade control compliance through guidelines, training, and clear communication. Provide expert consultation and training to internal teams worldwide on customs and trade control classification.
• Stay Updated: Monitor and implement changes in legal regulations, such as updates to the HS Code System and TARIC.
• Data Management: Optimize and ensure compliant use of classification data within SAP GTS and S4/HANA, covering processes such as OTC, P2P, and MM. Review and decide on trade control blocks, document decisions, guide processes, and provide evidence during customs audits.
• Regulatory Evaluation: Classify and assess products according to trade control legal requirements (e.g., Dual-use, CWC, PIC, CBAM), maintain consistent classifications, and initiate necessary changes.
• License Application: Apply for import and export licenses from authorities (e.g., BAFA) and ensure all necessary obligations and regular reports (e.g., Dual-use AGG from BAFA; PIC from ECHA) are met.
• Reporting: Compile internal reports and evaluations related to customs tariff and trade control classification and initiate binding tariff information.

What You Bring:

• Educational Background: Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2-3 years in a relevant industry role within Customs and Trade Compliance, R&D, or EHS.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in HS Code classification, European customs code TARIC, and Trade Control regulations (e.g., Chemical Weapons Convention, Dual-Use), especially for chemical materials. Additional knowledge of other tariff schedules such as CH TARES and HTS US is a plus.
• Tools: Experience with classification tools like SAP GTS and external applications and databases (e.g., TARIC).

Your Toolkit:

• Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; ideally experienced with SAP GTS and SAP S4-HANA.
• Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to interface effectively with internal departments (Marketing & Sales, SCM, R&D, Procurement, EHS & Product Safety) and external stakeholders (Customs authorities, Logistic service providers, Customs brokers, Customers, and Suppliers).
