About your future role:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Account Manager to join our team. His/Her role will be key in developing and executing strategies to drive existing and new customer growth within a defined portfolio of accounts and/or geographies. As the strategic point of contact in selling Nexi Digital Banking Solutions, it will require coordinating the involvement of internal stakeholders, including senior management, in order to meet performance objectives and client expectations. This client facing role will establish trusted, professional relationships with key leaders in the assigned accounts to build a deep understanding of the client’s business, the organization, strategic initiatives, operating environment and key 3rd party influencers engaged with the client.Crucial will be the international sales experience or a similar role (strategy, innovation, business development) in the payments industry and/or banking environment.Your local team will be based in Italy, but you will be part of the wider team of cross our European organisation.Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Establish a joint strategy and plan for the named accounts/geographies to drive the continued investment and expansion of existing Nexi Digital Banking products/services with reference to Payment SaaS and Network Services together with the identification of new opportunities for growth across Nexi products and solutions.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with clients at various levels including Executives across Business and IT domains maintaining regular touch points.
  • Lead and collaborate the extended Nexi team for account planning, new project opportunities and to ensure business objectives and customer expectations are met.
  • Manage legal and contract negotiation on existing or new clients in the assigned region.
  • Stay abreast of current industry trends, competitors, and current/new company products and services.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years’ progressive experience in consultative sales and account management in primary organization preferred in financial services, fintech or high-tech company, ideally in the payments space.
  • Proven sales record with demonstrable evidence of successful selling of large/complex transactions to major customers
  • Superior presentation skills, written and oral
  • Successful experience in primary organization preferred in financial services, fintech or high-tech company ideally in the Payments ecosystem
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills
  • Available for business travel (up to 50% of the time)

Additional skills and experience that would make you stand out:

  • Proved experience with third-party system integrators)
  • Fluent in two or more European languages
