Job Description Summary At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.The operational data analyst will use mathematical modelling, simulation, data science and other quantitative methods to improve business processes and provide insights for better decision making. The analyst will bring new ideas, diverse perspective and will be able to deep dive into problems to find the root cause and propose solutions.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze data, develop statistical models, and use optimization or other quantitative methods to solve problems in the following areas:Engine Life Cycle Costs and maintenance processesSpare parts ForecastingFleet managementHealth Monitoring systemsRisk assessment of analytics modelsTest hypotheses using dataCoding development for engine maintenance processes simulationDefine relevant KPIsExecute simulations using in-house softwareAnalyze simulation results and provide insights and recommendationsCollaborate with Fleet Modeling Analysts’ Team to support Forecasting activities and to improve internal processesQualifications/RequirementsMaster’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering from an accredited universityProven experience in similar roleAble to translate business questions into numerical problems and solve them using data and quantitative methodsProgramming skills (Python, R or similar)Problem solving skills and analytical mindsetGood knowledge of statistics and probabilityAbility to plot, summarize and analyze dataGood English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oralStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAvailable for job travellingWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsExperience in cost and value engineeringInterest in management of aeronautical products in-serviceWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
