Summary of Role:

You will be responsible for the supply chains sustainability agenda, working with our suppliers and stakeholders from across AIB, to play a key role in delivering AIB’s sustainability ambitions.  You will report to the Head of Sourcing Operational Effectiveness within AIB’s Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain function.  Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Management is a core specialist department that reports directly to the banks Chief Operating Officer, providing bank-wide focus and leadership, through the provision of professional procurement services to market leading standards.  Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Management provides services across all AIB geographies, including the Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom, and the United States.

Key Responsibilities Include:

-Design and deliver transformation and change management that supports AIBs overarching Sustainability Strategy and ambitions.
-Provide expertise and advice on Environmental Social & Governance matters and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across AIB, with an aim to preparing our business for compliance with current and future ESG disclosure requirements relating to AIBs supply chain.
-Lead and manage supply chain related regulatory impact assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
-Design and implement target operating models that enable the teams within Stratgic Sourcing and Supply Chain Management to successfully operationalise ESG reporting in an effective and efficient manner.
-Monitor and report progress, on implementation plans, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on ESG metrics.
-Work with AIBs sustainability and regulatory reporting teams in responding to supply chain related data and reporting requests.
-Mentor and support members of the Strategic Sourcing Supply Chain management team, providing guidance on CSRD, CSDDD and other relevant regulatory requirements and best practices.
-Building and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive projects and programs to completion.
-Stay abreast of developments in legislation and industry trends, incorporating new knowledge into project strategies and ongoing process enhancements.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current and emerging technologies, tools, and measurement methods.
 

What you will bring:

-Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant consultancy, sustainability, or a supply chain related role.
-Qualifications and/or experience in procurement / statistical analysis / risk management / supply chain management / sustainability / environmental science or a combination of these.
-Detailed understanding of ESG related legislation and regulatory frameworks applicable in the EU and the UK, as they relate to the supply chain.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex Environmental and Social concepts to diverse audiences.
-Attention to detail and the ability to work successfully in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment, to meet tight deadlines.
-Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact.
-Professional certifications or memberships in relevant professional bodies would be advantageous.
