We are passionate and excited about how we can develop and utilise new technologies to shape and inspire changes within an ever-growing market place.We have an excellent opportunity for a Research Scientist to join our R&T team at our Plant Impact site in Harpenden. You will be involved in greenhouse trials to screen potential new biostimulant compounds, support product development, and generate data for other teams in Croda. The role will include designing and executing glasshouse trials as well as analysing and reporting the results.Our research identifies ways we can intervene to improve the yield and quality of crops using specially developed chemical biostimulants. The company’s products reduce crop stress, increase marketable yield, improve quality of produce, prolong shelf life and enhance overall grower profitability.Benefits Package:The successful candidate will receive a competitive benefits package including:

- You will be a biologist with knowledge of crop science and trials
- You will have excellent spoken and written communication skills
- You will be an effective team player and have strong interpersonal skills to enable you to build good working relationships
- Good planning skills and attention to detail
Desirables:
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in agriculture/horticulture or a relevant plant science
- Working knowledge of crop biostimulants
- Experienced at running greenhouse and field trials
- Knowledge of trial design and statistical analysis
- PA1 and PA6 pesticide training
- Experience in crop agronomy
- Experience working in a molecular biology lab
