This job will be based in Kerkrade, the Netherlands.About the role:
As Education Specialist Operations you are responsible for the development and sustainable roll out of our lifetime learning programs within Operations. You define and implement our training strategy and via continuous improvement ensure this aligns with our current and future organizational needs. You will work closely with regional educational centers to develop and implement educational programs which will contribute to knowledge and skills enhancements for our Operations colleagues. You will manage the Kerkrade DL training team and actively coach and support our trainers who make sure employees apply the required knowledge, skills and behaviors in their daily routines.Your professional education expertise and contributions will support our strategic directions on our journey for operational excellence in everything we do. Next to these core activities you will also be our Curriculum Manager for both our Learning Management Systems (LMS) and our Training Record Systems (TRS).
You partner with all managerial levels and colleagues to provide learning support, coaching and evaluate learning effectiveness. You keep up to date with latest learning trends and are consulted as subject matter expert on a broad range of learning topics.
You’ll be thinking outside the box and offer creative yet efficient and effective training solutions.Your responsibilities also include:

  • Organize and sustain lifetime learning activities, including on boarding of new learners and interacting closely with education centers as our first point of contact.
  • Coach and support individual learners, instructors and their supervisors on how to translate the learning into practice.
  • Maintaining all required learning activities for the entire facility on our TRS/LMS systems. Acting a subject matter expert during our internal and external quality audits as it relates to training compliance.

The Education Specialist Operations reports to the Manager Operations.

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Education/Learning or relevant work experience;
  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in the field of Education/Learning within a complex, international business environment;
  • You thrive in a Warehouse team environment whilst at the same time have the personality to collaborate with multifunctional teams;
  • You have demonstrated success with delivering training programs and coaching learners on its application in daily work;
  • You have a continuous process improvement mentality, you can identify improvement opportunities and act upon them;
  • You have excellent organization skills, you can lead and coach a diverse group of colleagues;
  • You are results-focused with superb attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through;
  • You have strong technical proficiency and knowledge of using a variety of Learning systems and computer applications, including MS Office;
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch.
