We are seeking motivated and energetic candidates to join our talented team as a Marine Support Analyst within our Marine Claims division in Budapest Hungary.    ExxonMobil’s Global Marine Claims division consists of a team of 70 professionals accountable for analyzing and negotiating approx. 20,000 marine demurrage (delay) and oil loss claims annually associated with ExxonMobil’s global trading and sales and purchase activity transported on bulk liquid and gas tankers.  

Candidates should hold a university degree in disciplines associated with commercial marine shipping, supply chain or logistics and have relevant experience in supply chain or logistics activities including marine cargo claims.

Marine Support Analyst key activities are to manage and resolve issues/bugs in our system GOM, nominations, orders, master data,. to support PMI Volumetric bookings and scheduling set-ups.

The role provides extensive opportunities hone and develop personal negotiation skills, commercial acumen, commercial contract structures as well as opportunities to grow and learn about commercial trade flows and the business of marine shipping.  Marine Support Analysts work closely with ExxonMobil traders, schedulers and Marine coordinators while also interfacing with external counterparts around the globe. 

What you will do
-Coordinate, implement, and support safe and efficient bulk liquid marine logistics to maximize ExxonMobil’s commercial advantage worldwide
-Ensure compliance with ExxonMobil corporate policies, industry standards, and government regulations
-Support Voyage / Cargo Optimizers to ensure timely and accurate voyage / cargo information into order fulfillment / accounting program (TORA, GOM, Veson) to ensure freight and other voyage related charges are accurately administered
-Oversee period outcharters through engagement with stakeholders to ensure compliance with all Marine Quality Assurance processes (VBC, security screening, etc.) and Charter Party requirements
-Provide timely and accurate schedules and voyage related information to stakeholders
-Provide vacation relief for regional Voyage / Cargo Optimizers
-Serve as primary contact to regional Bulk Liquid Marine teams to field questions about GOM/Veson entries, track issues with flow through to corporate systems and work with PMI on resolving issues
-Advance continuous improvement of tools and work processes to automate and streamline work, automating activities where appropriate
-Lead work efforts around Month End Close and resolution of third party statement issues identified by PMI and/or Bulk Liquid Marine teams
 

About you: skills and qualifications
-Familiarity with maritime industry
-Knowledge of supply operations, marine chartering, scheduling, and dispatch process
-Knowledge of transaction accounting and commercial contracts
-Familiarity with hydrocarbon logistics
-Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to influence others without authority
-Sense of ownership and commitment to general interest and high standards
-Ability to work under pressure and work outside of work schedule to resolve operational issues
