PR Specialist – Italy – FTC (1 year contract)

About the Role:

We’re looking for a PR Specialist to work in our PR team in Italy for a fixed term contract of 1 year. Based in Rome, you will report to the Sr. Manager, PR.

The PR Specialist will play a key role in executing and managing PR activities and campaigns aimed at reinforcing our brand and our reputation in Italy. The Specialist will focus on collaborating in creating innovative high impact campaigns, exploring new tactics of promoting our broader narratives, and being able to communicate different facets of our service to Italian audiences. In this role, this person will collaborate with partners that range from content/programming to marketing to social to product and beyond.

This person will think, pitch and secure coverage opportunities – with press but also with social media influencers, key opinion formers and more – that will positively impact our brand and support forming and maintaining relationships with press, influencers and key opinion leaders. This person will also help the Sr. Manager, PR in managing executives for interviews and speaking opportunities, handling potential crisis and issues, elaborating communication plans and more. This person can formulate and manage a budget, and give visibility into their work successfully.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Have a minimum 4-5 years of experience working in PR, some of which would ideally have been spent in an entertainment/media setting. Corporate comms and/or policy comms experience is key.

  • Have excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Italian and be able to communicate effectively and succinctly with internal and external teams.

  • Be skilled in cultivating relationships with key journalists (entertainment, business, media etc.), social media influencers, key opinion formers, third parties etc.

  • Be familiar and make use of social media channels, especially LinkedIn

  • FTC from October 2024

  • Have solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under deadline and thrive in a very high energy, fast-paced environment

  • Be able to identify, develop and help come up with outside the box creative ideas

  • Be able to think strategically and make wise decisions, even when faced with ambiguity

  • Be able to write PR plans

  • Be able and willing to think on an international level

  • Have a love of entertainment and storytelling

  • Be curious and eager to learn, have sound judgment, and be unafraid to challenge prevailing assumptions

  • Be nimble and objective in assessing your work, be willing to admit mistakes quickly, and to give and receive constructive feedback
