Danone does not seek to be the best company in the world, but better for the world!To help the Global Public Affairs team carry its mission, we are looking for a Public Affairs Manager on Corporate Diplomacy topics.This permanent contract will take place in Paris (75), in our global head office, as soon as possible.In this position, you will report to Thomas, our Public Affairs Director.You will be in charge of developing strategic intelligence on key political and policy developments in key markets, structuring corporate briefings for high level executives in their engagement with key international bodies, key national stakeholders and with the diplomatic network.You will have the following responsibilities: * Foster a strategic approach to the company’s international engagements and help develop our own “foreign policy” stance
- By implementing a risk-based and anticipatory approach that assesses all options and consequences
- By ensuring a coordinated and strategic approach to major international events (G7, G20, etc.)
- Develop well-structured policy briefings for top management
- By contributing to the development of corporate positions on all major international issues that are relevant to our business areas, or that may have a strong reputational impact
- By pulling together well thought-out and structured briefings for Danone senior leadership in their engagements with key external stakeholders
- Build a geostrategic due diligence approach and a genuine understanding of the international environment in which we operate and of the challenges that may occur
- By collecting and analysing both internal and external intelligence on countries/regions of interest
- By engaging with academia and think tanks
- By cultivating regular contacts with diplomatic networks, federations, and state and non-state actors in bilateral diplomacy with priority countries (CCIs, embassies, etc.)
- Develop, nurture, animate and leverage Danone Corporate’s diplomatic network in support of business needs and business units confronted to a risk of disruption of business operations, lasting damage to corporate reputation and the social licence to operate
Your main stakeholders will be:
- Internal: General Secretary Teams -Public Affairs Teams and Security & Competitive Intelligence- General Managers, and General Secretary leaders in countries
- External: Diplomats, Government officials, Public authorities in France and Netherlands, International Organizations officers

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.
- Your eductation background may be: Political Science, International Relations, Economics or Science related to Nutrition and Health
- You have at least 5 years of sucessful experience within public sector or policy related roles in private sector
- You are able to communicate with impact
- You get very strong analytical and writing skills – in both English and French
- You show strong competencies on stakeholders’ engagement
- You are proficient on assessment & management of business risks and opportunities
