Commercial Managers(Traitomic)We are seeking experienced Commercial Managers to join our Traitomic A/STraitomic is part of the solution for the global food challenge, and we are now entering a hyper-growth phase, accelerating the implementation of business plans and ideas globally. We are seeking Commercial Managers who are motivated to create value and build relationships in the trait development business across our three segments: Plants, Microbes and Food.At Traitomic, we are using a proprietary crop and strain improvement process called FIND-IT, invented and developed by Carlsberg Research Laboratory. This is one of our unique assets, which among other capabilities enables us to solve our customers’ challenges substantially faster than any of our competitors. Utilising only traditional breeding techniques, we develop and identify traits tailored to the specific needs of our customers, with unprecedented speed and specificity.The technology has successfully proven its commercial value and already attracted world-leading companies and disruptive leading “scale-ups” within the plant, microbial and food producer space. We are proud to help our customers accelerate their innovation pipeline and sustainability development agenda.What you’ll be doingThe successful candidates will drive the commercialization within the business segments, which includes the identification of commercial opportunities, negotiation of commercial contracts and agreements and development of market strategies. More to the point, the candidates will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, and for nurturing and developing strong commercial relationships ranging from world-leading companies and “scale-up’s”Specifically, your key responsibilities are:

  • Identify sales opportunities and industry relationships that support Traitomic’s objectives
  • Support the development of concepts and strategies for go-to-market plans
  • Optimize pricing strategies and lead negotiations with world-leading customers and partners
  • Provide market insights and translate these into business development plans

What we’re looking for

  • Solid work experience in a commercial role in a relevant business (e.g. ingredients, microbes, food production, plant breeding, food value chain, etc.).
  • Motivation to create value in the trait development business across one (or several) of Traitomic’s business segments: Plants, Microbes and Food.
  • Solid track record in a B2B Sales and Marketing environment, with demonstrated experience in direct sales – and contract management, preferably including licensing and other collaborative agreements
  • Strong communication, networking and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and drive, and able to cope with a dynamic changing environment
  • Proven business acumen and demonstrated ability to solve problems and negotiate agreements and feel natural and confident among C-suite level interactions
  • Academic degree, preferably a commercial education
  • Likely based out of Copenhagen, but an alternative location based within the EU, Asia Australia or the US is a possibility.
