We are looking for highly motivated finance professionals willing to take a step further in their careers by joining our team.

Exciting and challenging opportunity working in an American multinational chemical company. The accounting lead will have a key role in the EMEA Financial Shared Services structure supervising the RTR team functions executed in accordance with the Group Policies, local and US GAAP requirements, agreed service level agreements, and key performance indicators.

Reporting to the RTR Lead, the successful candidate will actively participate in the team’s development, helping with possible implementations/system changes, the transition of activities, and collaborating in the continuous process improvement initiatives to ensure a streamlined and efficient team over the regional FSS function.

What will you be doing?

In this role you will need to perform the below tasks:

-Lead, manage, and motivate a team of high-performance accounting professionals
-Full overview of the Month End Closing, review of reporting packages and ensure deadlines are met
-Approval of SOX controls, 

balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline
-Approval of monthly and quarterly variances interacting with different departments as needed (PTP, OTC, FP&A…)
-Escalation and resolution of issues
-Manage relationship with auditors
-Ensure Financial statements are presented on time
-Take ownership on special projects assigned on top of the daily activities
-Responding to a significant number of ad hoc queries, and analysis as required, prioritizing work effectively to ensure that these queries are responded to on a timely basis
-Role may require some travel at times and work on some weekends/public holidays during month/year-end periods
-Work closely with the process owners on continuous process improvements
-Proactively seek feedback from fellow team members and other internal and external customers

Who are You?

The ideal candidate has at least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance, and over 5 years experience in this field. In addition you need to have

-Experience leading a team
-Advanced Excel skills with experience in building and working with complex models and large data sets.
-Experience with SAP (JDE and HFM is a plus).
-Leading accounting role in FSS in a large, listed, multinational company is desirable
-US GAAP and SOX experience
